Hekate’s Deipnon

Hekate’s Deipnon is an ancient Hellenic celebration on the New Moon. It is a time for caring for the restless dead, and also to take stock of our lives. Here, I’m just putting a list of links which I feel are really helpful in understanding the observance.

How To Do a Deipnon

An Overview by Zoe From Hellenion — (Cites primary sources)

A Ritual Script by COH — (Has Neopagan influences, but lacks the whole “Hekate is the Crone” nonsense that makes my eyeballs roll right out of my head and onto the floor.)

A Ritual Script With a Solitary Focus — I don’t know much about the author, but there is some traditional liturgy in there which is nice.

An Activist’s Deipnon — Article by me, about re-framing the Deipnon to prevent outrage burnout.

I will add links here as I find and/or write them.
