God Forms

A god form is an iconic image designed specifically for use in magick and guided visualization. The image is used as a focus for the deity in rituals, and can help to create a conduit for an individual person, for a group, or for a space. These are the images I’ve created so far, and I’m working on creating more.

Ariadne
Ariadne with elements of Asasara, holding golden thread and olive branches.
First, I drew this one, but there were just so many questions. Dionysos, why are you naked from the waist down? You can't just run around wearing nothing but a ripped chiton and a leopard skin. Says Dionysos, "The hell I can't!"

To learn more about how to use these images, see my post on Visual Evocation.

Or, just use this dead simple method:

Step 1. Formulate the image.

Step 2. Chant the name of the associated being, building up a ball of golden energy around the heart of the form.

Step 3. Imagine the name (or sigil) of the entity being written on that sphere.

Step 4. Allow the light from that sphere radiate outward and deepen the colors and lines of the form.

Step 5. Step into the form if you so desire, or leave it stationary in the room, and watch it subtly influence the energies there.

Unlike the other method I present for creating a conduit through visual evocation, this one probably won’t become animate. You can pick it up and move it by moving the golden heart energies. Be aware that, while it is the image of the deity, it is made from your mind-stuff. Unless you specifically call the deity into it, don’t expect it to answer your spiritual questions, or to know anything more than you do.
